GOOD STUFF
I developed a vibrant and welcoming brand identity for Good Stuff Store, a liquidation shop offering daily essentials and branded items at affordable prices. The visual direction blends early-2000s retro with urban street-style influences, creating a chill, hangout-friendly vibe. Using a warm, playful palette and bold typography, the identity captures the store’s approachable personality while standing out in a competitive retail environment.

Problem :
Good Stuff Store needed a clear and memorable brand identity to introduce itself in a competitive retail space. As a new liquidation store with a chill, hangout-style vibe, the challenge was to communicate its personality and value without falling into the typical “cheap discount store” aesthetic seen in the market.

Solution :
I created a unique brand identity inspired by early-2000s retro and urban street style—staying away from Y2K, graffiti, chrome, and neon. The color palette, bold typography, and playful visual language establish Good Stuff Store as approachable, fun, and community-oriented. The identity highlights affordability while still feeling stylish and modern.

Challenge :
The main challenge was crafting a design that felt authentic to the store’s casual, urban vibe while still maintaining a clean and trustworthy retail presence. Blending nostalgia with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic required careful balance to ensure the brand stood out without overwhelming the core message of affordability and accessibility.
Summary :
This brand identity project positions Good Stuff Store as a vibrant and approachable liquidation destination with an early-2000s urban flair. The visual system blends retro-inspired character with modern retail clarity, using a warm palette and bold typography to create a friendly, hangout-style atmosphere. The result is a brand that feels playful, trustworthy, and distinctly different from typical discount-store aesthetics.
