Problem :
Instant noodle packaging often lacks creativity and emotional connection, focusing mainly on convenience rather than experience. This limits its ability to stand out on shelves and appeal to consumers who value both culture and storytelling in food.



Solution :
Noodle Fantasia reimagines instant noodle packaging by combining Ching’s Desi Chinese flavors with Studio Ghibli’s whimsical illustration style. Iconic dishes such as Ponyo’s ramen and Calcifer’s breakfast are brought to life with enchanting visuals, transforming the product into more than just food—it becomes a storytelling experience that connects fantasy and flavor.






Challenge :
The main challenges of this project were blending two distinct identities—Ching’s bold, Desi Chinese brand personality with Studio Ghibli’s soft, whimsical aesthetic—without one overshadowing the other. Capturing the essence of iconic Ghibli food scenes while adapting them to functional packaging required balancing detail with clarity. Another challenge was ensuring the packaging remained practical for retail, with strong shelf impact and legibility, while still evoking the magical, immersive storytelling Ghibli is known for.
Summary :
This project elevates instant noodles into a cultural and magical experience. By merging bold culinary identity with Studio Ghibli-inspired design, Noodle Fantasia creates packaging that is playful, eye-catching, and immersive, appealing to both food lovers and fans of animation.
